Color trends SS26

The era of 'safe' minimalism is over

Having returned from Maison&Objet, the takeaway for 2026 is clear. This year will showcase a move toward a much brighter and more expressive aesthetic.

This shift is beautifully timed with the Year of the Red Fire Horse a year that symbolizes high energy, strength, and bold movement. It is the perfect moment to step away from uniformity and embrace a multi-colored approach that prioritizes personality. At Pagoda International, we’ve curated these global insights into a signature palette that bridges ancient Asian craftsmanship with the fiery, cutting-edge spirit of 2026.

Here are the five key trends we observed, translated through our collection:

Blue

Forget flat grays or whitesThis rich, moody hue acts as a "power neutral" it’s versatile enough to work with anything, but bold enough to make your vintage furniture and hand-crafted details truly stand out. It brings a sense of calm, high-end stability to a room. Our blue pieces serve as the perfect canvas for this trend, highlighting the structural artistry of vintage furniture and adding a sense of timeless stability to a room.

Green

As the design world moves toward "hyper-locality" and natural sourcing, Saturated green has emerged as the go-to hue for grounding a space. This color reflects the calm of the natural world, acting as a sophisticated anchor that balances the "extreme generosity" of modern, oversized furniture shapes.

Yellow

Yellow is 2026’s tool for injecting joy. Reminiscent of the warm, diffused glow of washi paper and sunlight, a yellow statement piece be it a lacquered cabinet or a focal armchair brings a sense of optimism and high-voltage personality to an interior.

Old Patina

The consensus among top designers is that "sleek lines are out." In their place, we see "Exaggerated Texture" craggy, weathered, and wonderfully flawed surfaces. Our old patina finishes celebrate this Wabi-Sabi aesthetic. These tactile, aged surfaces tell a story of time and authenticity, providing a rich, sensory experience that mass-produced items simply cannot replicate.

Deep Red

High-gloss finishes are having a major moment. Deep Red, particularly in color-saturated lacquer, is being used to create spaces of intense emotional depth and opulence. Whether it’s a glossy console or a velvet accent, this bold burgundy hue brings a cinematic luxury and intimacy to high-end residential projects.
